Job Summary

As a Physician Assistant in our Neurosurgery department, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to patients with a wide range of neurological conditions. You will work closely with our neurosurgery physicians to evaluate patients, order diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care possible.

Responsibilities

Evaluate patients presenting to the APD Neurosurgery Clinic

Obtain a thorough medical history and perform physical exams

Order and interpret diagnostic laboratory and imaging studies

Provide treatment to patients within the scope of your practice

Consult with supervising physicians as needed

Document patient information in the medical record

Obtain informed consent for procedures

Communicate with patients and staff in a timely and respectful manner

Requirements

Unrestricted NH and VT Physician's Assistant License

Current DEA license

Current BCLS certification

Demonstrated competence in providing supervised neurosurgical care

Work Environment

You will be working in a fast-paced clinical environment, interacting with patients, staff, and physicians on a daily basis. You will be required to work collaboratively as part of a team to provide high-quality patient care.
