Job SummaryThe Mechanical Integration Specialist is a key member of our heavy equipment assembling process. This role involves integrating encasements that hold large backup power generators, allowing our clients to maintain business operations during power outages. Our team specializes in Tank Prep, Engine Prep, and/or Engine Finish, and we are proud to be a work-focused culture that encourages innovation and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Responsible for all generator exhaust piping, fuel lines, air lines, and hydraulic lines.
- Install fuel-related components such as air tubes, air breathers/heat shields, shunt lines, fuel polisher, dosing system, urea supply system, urea tank, and urea tank insulation.
- Install various generator-related components such as isolators, battery racks, power control box, engine rails, and oil/water/air compressor drain lines to standard.
- Install radiator components such as coolant lines, radiator brackets, and fill with coolant.
- Prepare and install fuel systems components such as fuel filter, fuel filter stand, crankcase ventilation lines, and fuel return lines.
- Fully integrate unit housing and generator with tank, including bolting down the generator and housing unit to the tank.
- Assist with the rigging of the house and generator for crane lift, requiring knowledge or willingness to learn hand signals.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years' experience in the field of Mechanical Integration or similar work.
- Familiar with reading blueprints.
- Experience driving a forklift.
- Familiar with welding and plumbing.
- Good math skills and the ability to read a tape measure.
- Proven mechanical aptitude.
- Strong attention to detail with an even stronger work ethic.
- Effective time management skills who can also adapt to quickly changing priorities.
- Must wear PPE such as protective eyewear, hearing protection, etc.
- Have reliable attendance, be respectful, and responsible at work.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
- Strong communication skills and awareness of others in movement.
- Ability to work under pressure and keep calm.
- Able to work in a team environment and independently.
- Quickly and accurately analyze and solve technical problems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when moving materials.
- Ability to work in all-weather conditions.
- Ability to maintain a safe perimeter and signal crane operator.
- Perform work tasks with little or no supervision.
