Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Residential Substance Use Counselor to join our team at Catholic Charities Family Community Services. As a key member of our residential program, you will provide clinical support and therapeutic services to individuals struggling with substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide residential and clinical support services to clients, including individual therapy and case management.
  • Carry a caseload of clients and complete all necessary paperwork related to client services.
  • Collaborate with other program staff to ensure a trauma-informed care environment and effective communication.
  • Assist clients in meeting requirements for Department of Human Services (DHS) and provide life skill programming, including vocational/educational planning and readiness.
  • Facilitate life skills education through one-on-one sessions and coordinate schedule of outside speakers to support life skill programming.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Social Work or related Human Services field required.
  • Valid and clean NYS Driver's License and use of a registered and reliable vehicle.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with substance use disorder clients or mental health services preferred.
