Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our General Surgery team. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care coordination, physician liaison, and efficient patient flow management.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians and staff with daily patient care coordination and access.
- Function as a liaison between patients, staff, and physicians.
- Maintain efficient patient flow and prioritize patient care.
- Deliver direct patient care within the scope of licensure and in accordance with SMG policy.
- Collect lab specimens, accurately label, and prioritize patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and physicians.
- Ensure proper preparation for patient visits and prepare pertinent information.
- Employ appropriate use of Tasking in EHR and obtain vital signs accurately.
- Administer injections according to protocol and document in EHR.
- Schedule appointments accurately and adhere to universal safety precautions.
- Review and update medication lists in EHR and demonstrate understanding of prescription control.
- Enter orders and schedules appointments in PMS and EHR.
- Provide referrals and consult orders in a timely manner.
- Maintain logs for emergency equipment and facilitate transition of care.
- Associates degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
- New Jersey State Nursing License and BLS certification required.
- 0-1 years experience, 2-4 years experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform diverse work assignments with time limitations.
