Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer for our Custom Product Development Business Unit. This position offers the flexibility of remote work from anywhere within the U.S.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in technical planning and requirements gathering phases.
- Design, code, test, troubleshoot, and deploy robust web-based applications utilizing modern technologies.
- Collaborate with the project Architect to develop scalable and fault-tolerant backend systems.
- Assist the Project Manager and Scrum Master in creating high-level schedules and resource plans.
- Develop automated functional tests as part of DevOps pipelines.
- Produce comprehensive documentation, including data models and software design documents.
- Conduct code audits and reviews as necessary.
- Serve as a senior member of the project team, providing technical leadership and support for continuous service improvement.
- Manage assigned tasks independently and effectively.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of application development experience across diverse projects and technology stacks.
- At least 5 years of experience in designing and implementing robust backend servers adhering to RESTful API standards.
- Proficient in server-side development using Python and NodeJS.
- Familiarity with Java and C++ is advantageous.
- Extensive experience with web-based services and databases, including both relational (e.g., ORACLE DB) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB).
- Strong understanding of JSON, XML, RESTful API, and GraphQL.
- Experience working within Agile Scrum frameworks.
- Knowledge of containers and Kubernetes is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Compensation:
The salary range for this position considers various factors, including skills, experience, and location. The estimated salary range is between $73,008 and $170,640, reflecting base salary only and excluding benefits or potential bonuses.
