We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Writer to join our team at AURA Technologies LLC in the United States. This is a part-time remote position that involves working with technical and non-technical colleagues to create high-quality technical documents, including white papers, proposals, presentations, and product documentation.

AURA Technologies LLC is an advanced research and development company that creates innovative technologies for the US Department of Defense (DoD) in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Quantum Computing, and other cutting-edge areas. We collaborate with top companies like Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, and universities such as Georgia Tech, Clemson, and NC State University.

About the Role

This individual-contributor position offers opportunities to work on various projects, including responses to US Government solicitations, and contribute to technical marketing materials. The successful candidate will have excellent understanding of Engineering and related principles, concepts, and practice as applied to AI/ML and Data Science.

Key Responsibilities
  • Writing, refining, and editing technical content in collaboration with technical staff
  • Ensuring documents meet submission requirements and guidelines
Requirements
  • Demonstrable proficiency in technical writing in English
  • Rapid ability to dive into and establish fluency in unfamiliar technical subjects
  • Detail-oriented and effective communication skills
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Word
Desirable Skills
  • In-depth knowledge of embedded systems, real-time systems, operating systems, control theory/control systems, cybersecurity, cryptography, networking, data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud computing, signal processing, image processing, graphics, computer vision, augmented or virtual reality, human perception, quantum computing algorithms, translation systems, or formal languages
  • Previous experience with US Government, DoD, NSF, NIH, DARPA, or other public-sector proposals, RFP/RFQ/RFI/SBIR/STTR responses, or similar written products
Education
  • Must have received a PhD relevant to the Fellowship (ME, AE, EE, CS, Physics, etc) or be currently enrolled in a relevant PhD program
