GENERAL SUMMARY
The role involves providing direct assistance and training to individuals with developmental disabilities within a residential environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and criminal background check is required.
- A valid driver's license is necessary or the ability to obtain one within 120 days.
- A High School diploma or GED is preferred; it is essential for AMAP certification.
- Capability to read, write, and understand technical literature, along with performing basic math tasks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the facility is maintained in a safe and organized manner.
- Demonstrate understanding of company policies and procedures.
- Participate in resident team meetings and other assigned staff gatherings.
- Monitor and respond to signs of health issues, injuries, and medication side effects.
- Engage positively with residents, modeling appropriate behavior and encouraging good manners and appearance.
- Accurately document training information and related records.
- Adhere to and implement behavior management strategies and plans.
- Execute programs and activities as prioritized by the interdisciplinary team.
- Perform additional duties as required.
