As a Registered Nurse Supervisor at Atrium Health, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and leading daily operations in our nursing department. You will also be responsible for selecting, developing, and retaining staff, as well as performing clinical supervision and performance appraisals.
Key Responsibilities- Support the manager in enhancing the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and service administration
- Assist with interview, selection, and supervision of nursing personnel
- Coordinate communication at regular intervals throughout shifts via staff meetings and huddles
- Collaborate with the manager to ensure understanding and compliance with federal and state laws and regulations
- Round on patients, teammates, and physicians to gain insight into patient care and department operations
- Delegate elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers
- Assist in identifying expected outcomes and evaluating progress towards goal attainment
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with current RN licensure in the appropriate state. Minimum two years nursing experience preferred, with previous management experience also preferred. BSN required, with RN candidates for external hire or internal promotion without BSN required to be enrolled in a BSN program within 1 year of Hire/Transfer date and complete the program within 3 years of enrollment. BLS required per policy guidelines, with appropriate professional certification (either clinical or leadership) required within 1 year of eligibility for professional certification exam.
