We are looking for a meticulous and skilled Meat Slicing Machine and Sanitation Operator to be part of our operations at Ham Slicess LLC. In this position, your key responsibilities will include slicing dry-cured meats, packaging and labeling products, preparing customer orders, and ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of all equipment and work areas following each shift.
The operator will be tasked with the following:
- Utilize meat slicing machinery to cut dry-cured meats in accordance with established specifications.
- Package and label products while adhering to company standards.
- Efficiently prepare and pack customer orders with precision.
- Conduct daily cleaning and sanitization of all equipment, tools, and workspaces to uphold a hygienic environment.
- Adhere to safety protocols to mitigate risks of accidents, injuries, or cross-contamination during meat handling and machine operation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working area.
- Collaborate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure seamless operations.
- Manage and restock supply rooms as necessary.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with meat slicing and cleaning/sanitizing machinery.
- Ability to make necessary adjustments to the slicing equipment.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
- Willingness to work scheduled hours.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
- Demonstrated work ethic with the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
- Basic understanding of local food safety regulations.
- Prior experience in a food production setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of operating forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus, though not required.
