Job Title: Health Unit Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Health Unit Coordinator to join our team at University Hospital in Madison. As a Health Unit Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our units, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting our clinical team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and facilitate the day-to-day operations of a unit, ensuring efficient and effective patient care.
  • Provide administrative support to patients, families, and staff, including answering phones, organizing files, and ordering supplies.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Utilize excellent communication and organizational skills to maintain accurate electronic health records and perform other clerical duties.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum one year of experience in a medical or customer service environment or similar experience.
  • Preferred one year of experience in a medical environment.
