Job Summary

Vertis Therapy is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in Washington DC. As a Full Time Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing patient-centered care to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients in accordance with physician orders, utilizing therapeutic procedures to address deficits in self-care skills and daily living abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating standardized procedures and equipment needs.
  • Conduct thorough functional assessments, documenting patient progress and revising treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, patients, and families to maximize patient independence and functional abilities.
  • Provide education and training to patients and caregivers on exercises and therapeutic procedures for continued use after discharge.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, responding to medical record audits, patient satisfaction surveys, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy or Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy with five years of direct practice experience.
  • Current license/certification in the state of practice.
  • Prefer current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess patient needs and develop comprehensive plans of care.
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance requirements.
