Job Summary

Travere Therapeutics is seeking a highly skilled Distinguished Scientific Liaison to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in facilitating education regarding current and upcoming therapies developed and commercialized by Travere.

About the Role

This position involves establishing relationships with national/regional healthcare practitioners and facilitating education on Travere products and areas of therapeutic interest. You will also ensure access to current medical and scientific information on Travere products and areas of therapeutic interest to targeted key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals (HCPs), Managed Market and Long-Term Care (LTC) stakeholders and decision makers consistent with company and Medical Affairs Department objectives.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain ongoing professional relationships with KOLs, HCPs, and other stakeholders to stay up-to-date on the latest medical and scientific developments in the field.
  • Act as a scientific expert at conferences, advisory boards, roundtables, clinical investigator meetings, and internal meetings to provide educational content and thought leadership.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of medical education strategies and initiatives that align with Travere's business objectives.
  • Maintain cross-functional collaboration with internal teams, including Clinical Operations, Clinical Development, Medical Information, Medical Communications, and Commercial/Field Sales.
  • Assist with sponsored research and investigator-initiated research projects, providing expertise and guidance as needed.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • An advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Pharm D, MD/DO, PhD, PA or NP) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry as a Medical Science Liaison or in a comparable role.
  • Nephrology experience and established KOL contacts in nephrology/renal pathologists and rare disease are a plus.
  • New product launch experience is desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage competing priorities.
