We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at The Woman's Hospital of Texas. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging Department, you will be responsible for assisting physicians in performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Review and complete patient paperwork, including exam scheduling, physician orders, and department logs.
- Transport patients to and from their rooms and ER.
- Monitor equipment for mechanical safety and ensure optimal performance.
- Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation.
- Position patients on examining tables and adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimal views.
- Work collaboratively with the team to meet the needs of the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
- Graduate of an accredited program for Technologist.
- MRI registry required within 6 months from date of hire for MRI registry-eligible candidates.
- Three to five years of previous MR experience required.
- PREFERRED: Experience with women's health and neonatal patients.
- PREFERRED: Experience with Philips equipment.
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification required.
The Woman's Hospital of Texas is a 420+ bed hospital dedicated to the health of women and children. We are the state's premier facility for breast health, imaging, gynecology, minimally invasive surgery, infertility, obstetrics, high-risk pregnancy, and pediatrics. Our Level IV NICU provides the highest level of care for premature babies, and we have the area's only March of Dimes NICU Family Support program.
