We are seeking a skilled Per Diem Psych Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at North Star Behavioral Health, a premier mental health facility in Alaska.
About the Role:
As a Per Diem Psych Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality general and psychiatric nursing care to patients with emotional or psychiatric disorders. You will work closely with our treatment team to develop comprehensive care plans, assess patient needs, and ensure the safety and well-being of each patient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze data on patient needs, developing comprehensive care plans and updating treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to set goals and interventions, ensuring effective discharge planning and crisis management.
- Demonstrate proficiency in psychotropic medications and commonly used medications for psychiatric patients.
- Ensure prompt and correct adherence to orders of seclusions & restraints, conducting proper rounds and interval checks, and documenting them accurately.
Qualifications:
- Current State of Alaska RN license
- Current CPR or BLS certification, preferred
