Required Qualifications
A completed Ph.D. (or ABD candidates will be considered) in Electrical Engineering, focusing on power engineering or a related discipline, with a research focus on modernizing distribution grids. This includes, but is not limited to, aspects such as modeling and design, planning and operations, and microgrid systems. Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities. A solid record of publications in the field of distribution grid modernization. Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty on research projects.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience in creating multidomain co-simulation frameworks using real-time simulators, especially Typhoon HIL, and networked microgrids aimed at enhancing active distribution system flexibility and resilience.
Demonstrated interdisciplinary research experience on state or federally funded initiatives. Proficiency in writing proposals.Compensation and Benefits
