Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our faculty as a Lecturer, Assistant/Associate or Full Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Tennessee Tech University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in chemical engineering, developing a nationally recognized research program, and engaging in scholarly activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in chemical engineering, including thermodynamics, transport phenomena, reaction engineering, and process design.
  • Develop a nationally recognized research program in chemical engineering, with a focus on areas such as energy and the environment, biomolecular engineering, and industrial processes.
  • Engage in scholarly activities, including publishing research papers and presenting at conferences.
  • Participate in college, university, professional society, and community service.
  • Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with students, faculty, staff, administrators, and external constituents.
Requirements
  • Earned Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of an MS degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field for Lecturer rank applicants.
  • Ability to develop and maintain an effective working relationship with students, faculty, staff, administrators, and external constituents.
  • Excellence in teaching and scholarly activities, as demonstrated through peer-reviewed publication and teaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Earned bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
  • Expertise in the broad area of chemical engineering, with a focus on areas such as chemical/industrial processes, energy and the environment, and biomolecular engineering.
