">Job Description
">The Internal Medicine Program Director plays a crucial role in the strategic direction and administration of our Internal Medicine Residency Program.
">- Clinical Teaching and Supervision of Residents: Provide hands-on clinical training and mentorship to residents, fostering their growth and development as exceptional physicians.
- Core Program Clinical Teaching: Develop and deliver high-quality educational content, ensuring residents meet rigorous standards of competence.
- General Administration: Oversee program operations, managing resources, budgets, and personnel to achieve optimal outcomes.
- GME Committees/Meetings: Participate in institutional committees, contributing expertise and insights to drive program excellence.
- GME Lecturing/Teaching Conferences: Deliver engaging lectures and presentations, enhancing residents' knowledge and skills.
- GME Recruiting/Interviewing: Collaborate with recruitment teams to identify top talent, ensuring diverse and talented cohorts.
- GME Research/Scholarly Activity: Foster a culture of research and scholarship, encouraging residents to pursue innovative projects.
- Resident Evaluation/Monitoring: Conduct regular evaluations, providing constructive feedback to enhance resident performance.
- Program Evaluation: Analyze program data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing evidence-based solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
">To succeed in this esteemed role, you will require:
">- Three to five years of post-residency clinical experience in Internal Medicine.
- Core faculty experience in an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency program.
- A minimum of three years of GME teaching/administrative experience as Program Director or Associate Program Director.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Active involvement in research and scholarship, with a strong track record of publications and presentations.
- Mentorship experience, with a focus on resident and student development.
