Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-process and final inspections on materials, components, hardware, and assemblies to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory standards using various measuring instruments.
  • Set up, operate, inspect, test, and adjust both new and reworked tools, dies, gauges, jigs, and fixtures to ensure they meet engineering specifications.
  • Utilize inspection and testing equipment (such as calipers, micrometers, comparators, rulers, and meters) to confirm product specifications.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections on various part types effectively.
  • Carry out incoming inspections to verify that production processes align with established work instructions.
  • Identify opportunities for Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma initiatives to enhance business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of inspection experience in an aerospace manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with calibration tools and the ability to read blueprints (shop sketches).
  • Strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing practices, procedures, inspection methodologies, and techniques within an AS9100 Quality Management System.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preferred experience in Engine Repair/Inspection (e.g., LM2500, G4).
  • Six Sigma experience is a plus.
