MRI/Xray Tech Hybrid Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our radiology team at AHS Vista LLC. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in both MRI and X-ray imaging, providing comprehensive diagnostic services to patients while maintaining the highest standards of care and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of AHS Vista LLC's Standards of Conduct and adhere to them at all times.
- Perform MRI scanning examinations, utilizing a strong knowledge of anatomical positioning and physiology to optimize imaging results.
- Manage patient scheduling efficiently and adapt to changes in the schedule with professionalism and flexibility.
- Maintain and evaluate specialized MRI equipment daily to ensure its proper operation and performance.
- Perform daily quality assurance checks of MRI equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Adapt to unexpected situations such as add-on procedures with poise and proficiency.
- Stay current with new procedures and best practices through ongoing professional education and training.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of MRI equipment and examination rooms according to department standards.
- Collaborate with radiology supervisory personnel to identify and resolve departmental issues.
- Maintain the confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Operate X-ray equipment to produce high-quality radiographs of designated body areas as ordered by a physician.
- Perform all diagnostic procedures following established technical parameters and protocols to ensure the delivery of quality studies.
- Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of general radiography, portable, fluoro, and C-arm equipment.
- Adhere to infection prevention, isolation, and sterile techniques when handling patients and delivering care.
- Follow ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure to patients, oneself, and others.
- Utilize accurate patient identification protocols to ensure the correct exam is performed on the correct patient at the correct time.
- Obtain and document pertinent patient history, explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding, and prioritize patient comfort during exams.
- Consistently review radiographs to ensure optimal quality and adhere to department standards for radiographic imaging.
- Report any environmental or equipment problems to the appropriate personnel for resolution.
- Perform required computer functions for RIS/HIS systems, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.
- Appropriately label all radiographs in line with departmental criteria and standards.
- Exhibit a high level of professionalism, teamwork, and collaboration with co-workers, physicians, and other internal departments.
- Provide positive interactions and a customer-first approach with patients, families, caregivers, and visitors.
- Participate in ongoing self-assessment of learning needs and actively seek opportunities for skill enhancement and professional growth.
- Attend in-service training sessions to maintain knowledge of current departmental and technical procedures.
- Maintain current CPR certification and stay compliant with state licensing and national board certification requirements.
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of equipment and work areas.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, restocking supplies as necessary to ensure quality patient care.
- Consistently apply Universal Precautions in the daily performance of procedures.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
- Valid state license in both MRI and X-ray modalities.
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography
- Must obtain MRI certification within 1 year of hire
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and patient management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
