Join Our Team as a Lead Service Technician

At Johnson Controls International, we are committed to providing innovative technology solutions that enhance sustainability, safety, and health. As a Lead Service Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring our systems operate efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and respond to service requests from the Service Resource Center, addressing equipment/system issues.
  • Engage with customer representatives to identify and resolve equipment/system malfunctions.
  • Diagnose and perform repairs on electronic fire alarm systems and other related building systems at customer locations.
  • Service, troubleshoot, and install various manufacturers' Fire & Life Safety systems, including SimplexGrinnell.
  • Interpret blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and operational manuals to facilitate effective service delivery.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service by maintaining clear communication with district staff and clients to ensure satisfaction.
  • Complete Service Acknowledgements accurately using communication devices such as smartphones and laptops.
  • Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation to provide support as needed.
  • Assist in training and mentoring fellow service team members.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of proven experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety systems, Access Control, and Paging systems.
  • Proficient in using test equipment, multi-meters, digital analyzers, and commissioning devices.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Capable of working in challenging positions, such as climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, to meet customer needs.
  • Maintain truck inventory for prompt response to service requests.
  • Possess and retain any necessary licenses as mandated by National, State, and Local regulations.
