Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and respond to service requests from the Service Resource Center, addressing equipment/system issues.
- Engage with customer representatives to identify and resolve equipment/system malfunctions.
- Diagnose and perform repairs on electronic fire alarm systems and other related building systems at customer locations.
- Service, troubleshoot, and install various manufacturers' Fire & Life Safety systems, including SimplexGrinnell.
- Interpret blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and operational manuals to facilitate effective service delivery.
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service by maintaining clear communication with district staff and clients to ensure satisfaction.
- Complete Service Acknowledgements accurately using communication devices such as smartphones and laptops.
- Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation to provide support as needed.
- Assist in training and mentoring fellow service team members.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of proven experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety systems, Access Control, and Paging systems.
- Proficient in using test equipment, multi-meters, digital analyzers, and commissioning devices.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 50-70 lbs.
- Capable of working in challenging positions, such as climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, to meet customer needs.
- Maintain truck inventory for prompt response to service requests.
- Possess and retain any necessary licenses as mandated by National, State, and Local regulations.
