Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated professional to provide comprehensive assessment, treatment, and care for patients experiencing respiratory conditions. This role is essential in delivering high-quality respiratory care under the guidance of licensed medical professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer therapeutic respiratory interventions in accordance with established hospital protocols. (55%)
- Maintain accurate documentation to assess and enhance departmental effectiveness, including charting and patient education. (20%)
- Conduct diagnostic respiratory evaluations following hospital guidelines. (20%)
- Offer guidance and education to patients and healthcare team members as necessary. (5%)
- Perform additional duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate's Degree or equivalent from an accredited institution; or six months to one year of relevant experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program.
- Valid Pennsylvania state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist, CRT, or TPP.
- Certification as a Respiratory Therapist (CRT) is required prior to the expiration of the TPP.
- Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Registered with the National Board of Respiratory Care (RRT) or as a Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT).
- One year of experience in a clinical setting.
