Job Summary

The State of Montana is seeking a highly skilled Facility Inspector to join our team in the Office of Inspector General, Licensure Bureau. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting inspections of mental health facilities, youth care facilities, community homes, and other healthcare facilities to ensure compliance with State and Federal requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct unannounced inspections to assess care provided and determine compliance with State and Federal regulations.
  • Recommend licensing actions and monitor facilities with difficulty meeting minimum compliance requirements.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to licensed facilities.
  • Investigate allegations of non-compliance and take appropriate action.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Knowledge of State government operations, rules, and policies.
  • Knowledge of emotional disorders, mental illness, physical disabilities, and chemical dependency.
  • Skills in group facilitation and training.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences or a related field, or equivalent experience.
