Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance and Repair Specialist to join our team at Direct ChassisLink Inc. (DCLI). As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective maintenance and repair of our chassis fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and approve work orders, perform post-audits, and monitor and control all aspects of equipment repair within specified repair shops and facilities.
  • Monitor and control M&R costs for chassis at specified locations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct daily visits to local terminals, CYs, and depots to ensure that all M&R issues are addressed and company policies are enforced.
  • Communicate effectively with logistics department regarding equipment requirements and report chassis OOS status and notes as needed in the M&R system.
  • Ensure DCLI inspection/repair standards are communicated to vendors and adhered to on all equipment repairs.
  • Assist locations in reducing overall M&R costs while maintaining service levels.
  • Work with vendors to increase productivity and monitor and control tire inventory levels at all facilities.
  • Review work order input in the M&R system daily, approve or reject work orders, and discuss and resolve input discrepancies with M&R vendors.
  • Perform DCLI monthly safety review and conduct shop site audits for all responsible locations.
  • Monitor and release DVER/DVIR inspections, review M&R system reports, and generate information for third-party billing/damage recovery.
  • Coordinate off-hire and scrap chassis programs and control and report renumbering of chassis in all locations.
Qualifications
  • Experience in chassis maintenance and repair is a plus.
  • Ability to effectively communicate company policy and procedures.
  • Ability to identify problems and seek solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet daily requirements.
  • Interface credibly with vendors and terminal personnel.
  • Ability to work with internal and external customers.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
