Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Kindred Hospital Bay Area - St Petersburg. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in helping our patients recover and regain their independence by providing therapy to maximize speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine each patient's unique needs and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing therapy to patients to maximize their abilities and promote independence
  • Communicate patient progress and problems to supervisors and other team members
  • Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and progress

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current and unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the state where services are rendered
  • Minimum of six months experience working with an adult and geriatric population
  • Current CPR certification
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
