Job Title: Safety Support Specialist

The estimated salary for this position is $22.00 - $27.00 per hour, based on the location in Los Angeles, CA.

This role is an essential part of our Interim Housing team, where you will play a key role in ensuring the site's safety and security. You will monitor facilities and grounds, engage with participants to promote safety awareness, and respond to crisis situations using de-escalation strategies.

You will also collaborate with the onsite case management team and contracted security agencies to implement security protocols and maintain a secure environment.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor the site's facilities and grounds for potential safety risks and communicate with staff and participants to mitigate these risks.
  • Engage with participants to promote safety awareness and encourage their involvement in maintaining a safe environment.
  • Collaborate with the onsite case management team to provide support to the interim housing site.
  • Implement security protocols and procedures to maintain a secure environment.
Requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify potential safety risks and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with staff, participants, and stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to work, with a willingness to take on additional responsibilities and contribute to team goals.

This role requires a high level of autonomy, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure the site's safety and security.
