Job Title: Preschool Teacher

Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) is seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Teacher to join our team. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the lives of young children and helping them develop essential skills for future success.

Job Summary:

The Preschool Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing educational activities for pre-school aged children, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment that promotes learning and development. This role requires a strong commitment to early childhood education and a passion for working with young children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement daily lesson plans that meet federal performance standards
  • Develop and implement individual education plans that cater to the unique needs of each child
  • Monitor and assess children's progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies for growth
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective educational program
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress and involve them in the educational process
Requirements:
  • Baccalaureate or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • Experience teaching pre-school aged children, preferably in a Head Start or Early Head Start program
  • Strong knowledge of child development, early childhood education, and curriculum design
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
