About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test to join our Video Applications QA team at Apple. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for testing our video applications on macOS and iOS software, ensuring a high-quality customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, design, maintain, and execute test cases with minimal direction.
  • Free test without scripts and tools.
  • Report bugs with outstanding isolation and regression techniques.
  • Balance a wide variety of deliverables that will rely on your talent for managing priorities and communicating progress and risks effectively and systematically.
  • Be comfortable with ambiguity and make educated, critical judgments in the absence of complete requirements.
  • Have a proven ability to ramp up quickly on both existing and new technologies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related work experience.
  • 3-5 years experience as a SDET or Software QA Engineer.
  • Understanding of SDLC and SQA methodologies and practices such as planning, requirements analysis, testing, and deployment.
  • Inquisitive and able to investigate and debug difficult software issues.
  • Knowledge of Motion Graphics or Visual Effects workflows.
  • Proficient in iOS and macOS.

  • Thrive in a collaborative organization, that's fast-paced and dynamic, and can clearly communicate technical problems to software teams and management.
  • Meticulous, analytical, methodical, and creative problem solver committed to driving quality forward.
  • Proficient at balancing multiple efforts simultaneously and meeting strict deadlines.
  • Experience in traditional graphic design.
  • Advanced experience relating to Typography.
  • Python scripting experience a plus.
What We Offer

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
