About the Role

Cadmus is seeking a highly skilled Senior Energy Analyst to join its Energy Sector team. As a Senior Energy Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting primary and secondary research on behalf of Cadmus' energy clients, managing and executing research tasks, analyzing market research results, and creating written reports on findings.

The ideal candidate will have strong critical thinking, research, technical, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Experience in consulting, preferably in the energy industry, and performing analysis for clients is highly valued. Additionally, the candidate should have experience in program evaluation and/or energy efficiency or sustainability, and be highly motivated to perform and learn.

Key Responsibilities
  • Select and apply appropriate analytic methods and solutions to address client questions.
  • Lead or substantially contribute to assigned evaluation or market research tasks, including data collection, tool development, engineering analysis, data analysis, modeling, and synthesis of research findings.
  • Provide clear, professional, and consistent communications with stakeholders, colleagues, and clients, including raising concerns or issues before they become problems.
  • Manage and oversee research tasks and projects, ensuring timely delivery of consulting solutions.
  • Develop detailed reports and presentations that summarize and communicate analysis results, research findings, methodologies, and data sources.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet Cadmus standards and exceed client expectations.
Requirements
  • Between 5-7 years of experience managing or supporting research or planning projects that include both qualitative and quantitative techniques.
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, social sciences, or a related field. A Master's degree may substitute for 2 years of professional experience.
  • Excellent writing, communication, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Industry experience in market research, engineering, energy efficiency, demand side management, distributed energy resources, utilities, program design and/or evaluation.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with high attention to detail.
