**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Baystate Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality respiratory therapy to patients in need.

**About the Role:

This position is responsible for providing respiratory care to patients as ordered by physicians, adhering to established standards and practices. The ideal candidate will have three years of experience in respiratory therapy and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

**Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory therapy to patients, including conventional and routine treatments, as ordered by physicians.
• Receive patient assignments, check charts and orders, set up equipment, and administer treatments as needed.
• Monitor environmental control systems, deliver and set up equipment, and perform suctioning procedures as required.
• Make regular patient rounds, observe patient condition, check equipment, and solve problems as needed.
• Recognize medical problems, report to physicians, and apply emergency protocols as necessary.
• Assist with maintenance and repair of department equipment and supplies.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:
• An Associate of Arts degree in Respiratory Therapy
• Three years of experience in respiratory therapy
• Certification as a Respiratory Therapist
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
