Senior Nurse Caregiver

We are seeking a skilled Senior Nurse Caregiver to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society in Austin, MN.

Job Summary:

The Senior Nurse Caregiver will provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long-term care settings, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a compassionate approach to resident care.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized care plans based on resident assessments and medical needs
  • Administer medications, treatments, and perform testing as ordered by healthcare professionals
  • Contribute to the assessment of residents and maintain accurate records of interactions and outcomes
  • Counsel residents, family members, and advocates on prevention and treatment plans
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and establish effective working relationships with residents, staff, and healthcare professionals

Requirements:

  • Degree from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Associate degree in practical nursing preferred
  • Currently holds an unencumbered LPN license with State Nursing board and/or multi-state licensure privileges
  • Obtains and maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications

Compensation:

$25.50 - $42.83 per hour, with a weekly salary range of approximately $7,000 - $12,500 based on a 20-hour workweek. A sign-on bonus may be available upon eligibility.
