We are seeking a highly skilled Recreational Therapist PRN to join our Behavioral Health team at Ogden Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing activities that promote patient engagement, social skills, and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans to address anxiety, self-esteem, and behavioral issues.
- Plan and implement regular groups to meet the needs of patients, including recreational activities, creative therapies, and social skills training.
- Evaluate and document treatment goals and outcomes related to patient participation and progress.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide consultation and support in patient care.
- Supervise and mentor Recreational Therapy interns and new Recreational Therapists to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Valid driver's license and good standing.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
- Bachelor's Degree in Recreation Therapy or related field.
- Recreation Therapist, or Advanced Activity Professional-BC (AAP-BC) certification.
