Job Summary:

The Occupational Therapist PRN position at Intermountain Health is responsible for providing direct patient services, including identifying, evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients. This role also involves indirect services such as consulting, advising, teaching, and training patients and their caregivers.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess and evaluate patient conditions according to physician orders and current standards of practice.
Provide appropriate interventions, including treatment related to established plans of care, with appropriate duration and intensity.
Educate and train patients and their caregivers.

Additional Responsibilities:

Accept assignments from the Director or Team Lead, including case load, productivity standards, education, and in-servicing others.
Participate in the quality improvement process for the team and the clinical setting, and follow through with improvements.
Communicate through written chart notes, evaluations, progress reports, and discharge summaries regarding patient status, any complications, prognosis, and plans for follow-up care.

Requirements:

Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Current license in the State of practice.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certified Occupational Therapist through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).

Physical Requirements:

Hearing/listening, lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, seeing, sitting, speaking, squatting/kneeling, standing, and walking.

Work Environment:

Intermountain Health Layton Hospital, Intermountain Health McKay-Dee Hospital.

Work Schedule:

0 scheduled weekly hours.
