Job Title: Network Engineer 3

The Field Technology Services team is seeking a skilled Network Engineer 3 to manage, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and update software, hardware, and networking as necessary to support the Virginia Department of Corrections (VADOC) education programs & operations efforts for VADOC sites and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Independently installing, updating, and managing networks
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues in various operating systems and application software in a LAN/standalone environment
  • Imaging computers
  • Securing networks and endpoints
  • Building, deploying, and maintaining servers
Requirements:
  • 5 years of experience in network engineering
  • Strong technical skills in Windows operating systems, such as Win10, Server 2016/2019/2022
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
  • Comfortable going onsite to DOC facilities
  • Significant travel may be required
Work Environment:

The Network Engineer 3 will be working within the Field Technology team and will be required to travel to different sites. The position will be based in Suffolk, VA, with occasional travel to other locations.
