Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medicaid Eligibility Specialist to join our team at Meduit. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for conducting financial fact-finding interviews with patients, completing Medicaid and other applicable applications/releases, and ensuring all supporting documents are obtained and filed timely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough financial fact-finding interviews with patients to determine eligibility for Medicaid and other community benefits
  • Complete and submit Medicaid and other applicable applications/releases in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ensure all supporting documents, including applications and receipts, are obtained and filed in a secure and organized manner
  • Monitor and track applicants who are eligible for Medicaid or other financial assistance or coverage plans
  • Enter clear and concise notes in the required patient accounting systems
  • Work collaboratively with headquarters support staff to successfully coordinate and manage the portfolio of applicants
Requirements
  • H.S. Diploma/GED
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and Saturdays
  • High integrity and a positive attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
Competencies
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage tasks based on established criteria
