**Job Summary**
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Drafter/CAD Operator to join our team in a full-time in-office position. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting and utilizing Autodesk Inventor to design food service/kitchen equipment type products, estimating and quoting various food service/kitchen type products, and working with sales and customers in the food service industry on designs, specifications, and prototypes.
**Responsibilities**
- Drafting and Design: Utilize Autodesk Inventor to create detailed designs and drawings of food service/kitchen equipment type products.
- Estimating and Quoting: Estimate and quote various food service/kitchen type products, taking into account customer specifications and requirements.
- Customer Collaboration: Work closely with sales and customers in the food service industry to design, specify, and prototype products that meet their needs.
- Product Documentation: Monitor product documentation for accuracy and make necessary corrective actions.
**Requirements**
- Education and Experience: Relevant degree preferred, with extensive on-the-job experience in a similar environment may substitute for formal education.
- Technical Skills: Experience with equipment used to cut, bend, join, and finish ferrous and non-ferrous metals, knowledge of the food service industry equipment, and proficiency with Autodesk Inventor/AutoCAD or equivalent.
- Soft Skills: Generalist approach to the field with a willingness to research and execute projects with a hands-on approach, ability to work with personnel at all levels of the organization in a diplomatic yet assertive way, and ability to sit, stoop, bend, crouch, sit, stand, walk, and carry.
