Overview:
The Fleet Maintenance Technician is responsible for conducting preventative upkeep and repairs on a variety of fleet vehicles efficiently and cost-effectively. This role involves receiving tasks and directives from the Lead Mechanic or management personnel.

Key Responsibilities:


1. Ensure fleet vehicles are maintained with a strong emphasis on Preventative Maintenance programs to achieve full compliance with established standards.
2. Utilize the AVMS fleet management software to monitor shop operations and duties.
3. Assist in managing costs through effective purchasing and inventory oversight, while also training others in safety protocols to ensure vehicle assets remain within budget.
4. Uphold shop quality standards, cleanliness, and adhere to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.

5. Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to guarantee compliance with both company and Department of Transportation (DOT) standards.
6. Perform routine maintenance on company vehicles, primarily focusing on delivery step vans and corporate cars.
7. Repair and maintain medium gas and diesel engines, brake systems, electrical systems, suspension systems, and lift gates.
8. Document all vehicle repairs and inspections according to company policies and procedures.
9. Execute repairs safely and efficiently, assisting with more complex repairs as necessary based on experience.
10. Adhere to all company workplace conduct requirements and policies, and perform additional duties as assigned that align with the role's scope to support business operations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Familiarity with DOT regulations, vehicle maintenance practices, and relevant state vehicle laws to meet compliance standards.
2. Military maintenance experience is advantageous.
3. Proficient in preventive maintenance control systems and parts procurement.
4. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
5. Foster a collaborative and team-oriented atmosphere within the shop.
6. Flexibility in scheduling, including availability for days, evenings, and weekends.

Benefits:
Aramark Uniform Services provides a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and pension plans. Employees are entitled to 40 hours of vacation, 16 hours of floating holidays, and paid sick leave annually. Additionally, employees will receive 6 paid holidays throughout the year.

Compensation:

The hourly wage for this position ranges from $28 to $28, influenced by factors such as the applicant's skills, qualifications, relevant degrees and certifications, prior work experience, market data, and other pertinent elements.


Working Environment/Safety Requirements:
This position is situated in a vehicle repair setting, with exposure to varying temperatures based on geographical location.

Experience:


A minimum of two years of experience in all aspects of fleet vehicle mechanical repairs, including general maintenance, wiring, engine overhauls, and preventative maintenance scheduling.


Education:


A High School Diploma or GED is required; an Associate's degree in Automotive Technology or equivalent on-the-job training is preferred but not mandatory.


License Requirements/Certifications:
A valid Driver's License is required.
