Job Summary

GoNetspeed is seeking a highly skilled OSP Field Technician to join our team. As an OSP Field Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while installing, troubleshooting, and repairing services for Fiber To The Home (FTTH) customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and configure FTTH Internet devices
  • Troubleshoot customer's home network to isolate and resolve service-related issues
  • Connect home units to outside lines; run or install new lines as needed
  • Maintain inventory of supplies on trucks and requisition necessary supplies
  • Complete in detail all required Outside Plant related forms and reports
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, guidelines, and checklists
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects and assigned tasks to completion in an organized and efficient manner
  • Ability to work independently or effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to work in different environments including inside, outside, inclement weather, attic, crawlspaces, new construction, existing work environment and on a ladder
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience or ability to be trained to configure and support customer routers
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems and perform effective troubleshooting
  • Ability to operate tools, vehicles, and construction equipment safely and skillfully
  • Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions
