Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Description

Quik Travel Staffing is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic studies utilizing radiopharmaceuticals and imaging equipment with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care: Obtain and evaluate patient-related information to produce high-quality images.
  • Diagnostic Studies: Perform diagnostic studies, selecting the proper technique/protocol to obtain the best data.
  • Radiopharmaceutical Administration: Administer intravenous or venous line injections of radiopharmaceuticals as authorized by the physician.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate and manipulate gamma cameras to produce and process images.
  • Quality and Safety: Provide safe transfers and assistance to patients, operate equipment safely, and prevent the transfer of infection and blood-borne contaminants.
  • Compliance: Comply with work instructions, meet quality and quantity criteria, and observe compliance with all applicable regulations.
Requirements:
  • Current License/Certification: Current License/Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist issued by the State of California, Department of Health Services.
  • Healthcare Provider CPR: Current Healthcare Provider CPR card and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification if required.
