Job Summary
Georgia Gwinnett College is seeking qualified part-time faculty members to teach music courses in the School of Liberal Arts. As a part-time faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching semester-based courses, providing written feedback to students, and meeting individually with students throughout the semester.
Responsibilities
1. Curriculum Development
Develop and implement course curricula, including syllabi, lesson plans, and graded assignments, in accordance with the requirements of the upper division program and in consultation with the Associate Provost for Academic Affairs.
2. Course Evaluation
Review, evaluate, and recommend student learning materials.
3. Student Assessment
Evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving institutional and course goals.
4. Administrative Tasks
Timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.
Qualifications
A minimum of a master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours (or 30 quarter hours) in the teaching discipline is required.
Preferred Qualifications
A terminal degree in the teaching discipline, 1-year college-level teaching experience, and sustained professional engagement that demonstrates relevance and currency in the field of teaching are preferred.
