We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Veterinary Clinical Lead to oversee our Surgery department at Ethos Veterinary Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a team of RVTs and Veterinary Assistants, demonstrating solid veterinary clinical skills, and facilitating training and development within the department.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a team of RVTs and Veterinary Assistants to ensure seamless delivery of patient care
- Develop and implement best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve department efficiency and patient outcomes
- Collaborate with veterinarians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Conduct routine assessments of staff skills and knowledge to identify areas for development and training
- Manage department payroll and staffing costs, including review and approval of timecards
- Deliver results in areas of staff development, client satisfaction, and safety
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 years of clinical experience in the veterinary industry
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices, and estimates
- California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP) or equivalent
- CA RVT license preferred but not required
- Competitive hourly wage range of $30-$48
