About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team at Valiant Solutions. As an ISSO, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the IT security point of contact (ISSO) for assigned systems to ensure compliance with FISMA, OMB, and agency policies.
  • Assist in performing detailed architecture and technical design reviews on systems.
  • Oversee and manage relationships with vendors to ensure compliance with agency security and privacy requirements.
  • Provide audit support by developing responses to audit questionnaires and remediation recommendations.
  • Ensure security activities and change management tasks are implemented throughout the SDLC.
  • Support the development and maintenance of security documentation, including the System Security Plan and Privacy Impact Assessment.
Requirements
  • Active certifications: CISSP, CISA, CISM, CCSP, CAP, or Security+
  • Minimum of two years of experience as an ISSO or ISSM for systems with a Moderate FIPS 199 categorization.
  • Minimum of three years of technical experience in defining security program requirements or processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
