POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The Sales Associate plays a crucial role in assisting Management in fostering a customer-centric and product-oriented sales environment, where our core values and guiding principles are integral to all store operations. This includes ensuring an exceptional customer experience and optimizing profitability. FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Achieving Sales Goals:

Contributes to company sales objectives by employing effective sales techniques and sharing product knowledge with customers; suggests merchandise options or assists in locating items based on customer preferences.

Stays informed about current promotions and sales; upholds pricing and visual merchandising standards.

Ensures compliance with merchandise handling, presentation, loss prevention, and other tasks as directed by Management.

Engages in visual merchandising initiatives, including monthly store setups and maintenance.

Enhancing Customer Experience:

Embodies and promotes the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles, delivering a seamless omni-channel experience.

Addresses customer concerns promptly and effectively.

Facilitates a swift and efficient checkout process, remaining knowledgeable about policies regarding payments, coupon usage, returns, exchanges, security measures, and other operational procedures.

Encourages purchasing decisions at the register and meets add-on sales targets, including gift card promotions.

Enlists clients in the rewards program.

Builds and nurtures a loyal customer base through personalized service and wardrobe consultations.

Maintains awareness of current product fits and style offerings available in-store and online.

Ensures consistent communication with clients through a customer relationship management system.

Operational Excellence:

Assists in replenishment efforts to keep the store well-stocked and inviting.

Supports order fulfillment processes.

Contributes to visual merchandising tasks, including floor layouts, window displays, and signage placement as instructed.

Helps maintain store cleanliness and organization.

Team Collaboration and Development:

Encourages an inclusive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Seeks opportunities for personal growth and actively seeks feedback.

Performs additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or equivalent required.

Prior retail or sales experience preferred.

Must be at least 18 years old.

Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.

Able to adapt to technology utilized by the company.

Demonstrates strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Capable of effective communication with customers, associates, and management.

Regular attendance is crucial for this role to ensure adequate staffing to meet company goals. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Frequent walking and standing throughout the shift.

Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. (1-33% of the shift).

Regular climbing (34%-66% of the shift).
