Licensed Practical Nurse

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a vital member of our healthcare team at Wexford Health Sources. As a LPN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to incarcerated individuals in a correctional setting. You will work under the clinical guidance of Registered Nurses to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. Your goal will be to provide compassionate and individualized care to patients, promoting their physical, psychological, and social well-being.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Direct and guide patient teaching activities commensurate with education and demonstrated competencies
- Assist in the assessment of the physical, psychological, and social dimensions of patients in the healthcare unit and housing units
- Implement medical plans through administering medications and interventions in accordance with provider instructions
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted New Mexico Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) License
- Current CPR Certification
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience; correctional experience preferred
