Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Nurse to join our team in providing Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) services to clients with opiate use disorder. The successful candidate will work in support of public health staff to provide these services and promote the MAT program through various means of health promotion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide face-to-face interaction through appointments made to assess and screen clients for MAT services.
  • Assist clients through the MAT program by providing education and counseling pertaining to their condition.
  • Work with community partners to promote the MAT program and provide services to clients.
  • Travel may be necessary to provide services to clients in multiple counties.

Requirements:

  • Licensed by the New Mexico Board of Nursing as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP), Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), or as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM).
  • Two (2) years of experience as it pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities of the classification.
  • Valid Driver's License and Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico.
