Job Description

**About the Role**

GO Physical Therapy LLC is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our administrative team. As a Billing Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our billing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and perform billing preparation, including creating and sending invoices.
  • Coordinate with therapists to ensure the accuracy of billing information.
  • Resolve account discrepancies through investigation and audits as needed.
  • Perform clerical functions, including making photocopies, mailing, scanning, and emailing documents.
  • Generate reports manually or via computer programs.
  • Organize and maintain files and databases in a confidential manner.
  • Perform home health duties as assigned, including receiving and coordinating new referrals from home health agencies.
  • Prepare daily notes and send orders to doctors as needed.
  • Follow up on orders and coordinate with therapists.
  • Prepare monthly tracking logs and invoices.
  • Maintain and update client account records in the database.
  • Assist with record keeping required by federal and state laws.
  • Work independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects.
  • Maintain patient and/or employee confidentiality at all times.
  • Continually communicate and interact with co-workers in a professional and positive manner.

Requirements:

  • Must possess a high degree of accuracy.
  • Must be highly detail-oriented.

Working Conditions:

The work is performed in an administrative office or therapy clinic environment. The employee must be able to remain stationary for long periods of time (up to 80%) and frequently move about inside the office or clinic to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. The employee must also be able to occasionally position themselves by bending or stooping to move equipment or files weighing up to 20 lbs. The work is performed under normal temperature conditions, with adequate light, ventilation, and space. The employee works frequently with others, occasionally alone, and has moderate exposure to noise typical of an office environment.
