Position Overview: We are in search of a proficient MIG Welder / Fabricator to contribute to our operations. This role entails the fabrication and welding of components essential for the assembly of shingle production machines. The successful candidate will possess a robust background in MIG welding and fabrication, along with experience working with various metals, including mild and stainless steel.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6AM - 4:30PM (minimum 10 hours of overtime per week)

Compensation: $ / hour

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Execute MIG welding on components and assemblies, ensuring that welds are of high quality and comply with industry standards, particularly with carbon and stainless steel.
  • Fabricate parts and assemblies in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Utilize various tools and equipment, such as grinders, saws, and presses, to cut, shape, and prepare metal components for welding.
  • Conduct inspections of completed welds and fabricated components to verify adherence to quality specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure components are fabricated and assembled as per specifications.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and company policies.
  • Perform routine maintenance on welding and fabrication equipment as necessary.
  • Identify and resolve any issues related to welding and fabrication processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Welding certification (AWS or equivalent) is advantageous, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a MIG Welder / Fabricator, ideally in an OEM or manufacturing setting.
  • Experience with fabrication processes, including cutting, grinding, and shaping metal components.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding diagrams, and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Solid understanding of safety practices and procedures in a manufacturing context.
  • Physical capability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
