Overview

The Silicon Operations team is dedicated to establishing a premier Silicon Supply Chain Operations unit that addresses the component requirements of Cisco's core and emerging businesses. We thrive in a dynamic, start-up-like atmosphere with a mission to expand Cisco's Silicon-One initiatives.

Collaboration

In this role, you will collaborate with various teams including Product Development, Customer Quality Engineering, Reliability Engineering, and Manufacturing Operations to ensure that product quality aligns with or surpasses the established quality and reliability standards. Your leadership will be pivotal in fostering improvements in product quality through teamwork with a diverse group of professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary focus will be on data analytics, utilizing your skills to analyze and model data to uncover valuable insights that inform decision-making processes. You will apply your expertise in quality methodologies to guide teams in identifying root causes of issues and implementing effective corrective actions.

Additionally, you will:

  • Assess technical risks and recommend strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and product quality.
  • Determine necessary containment actions based on data analysis and failure mechanisms.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports and failure analyses, summarizing key findings for multi-functional teams.
  • Manage the Change Management process, including risk assessments and stakeholder communications.
  • Analyze factory data in relation to field trends to drive improvements in yield performance.

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical) or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality engineering.
  • At least 4 years of experience in semiconductor product design, manufacturing processes, and failure analysis.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and experience working with large datasets.

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with networking applications and testing is advantageous. Certifications such as Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt are also desirable.
