Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nutrition Specialist to join our innovative Clinical Nutrition Team at Johns Hopkins HealthCare. This individual will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to promote wellness, maintain current health, and intervene in acute or chronic illness through evidence-based practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and individualize care for our diverse patient population, including patients requiring enteral nutrition and/or therapeutic diets, based on their healthcare needs.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement evidence-based nutrition care plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and healthcare providers on nutrition-related topics.
  • Conduct nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients with complex medical conditions.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives related to nutrition care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Licensure as a Licensed Dietitian-Nutritionist in the State of Maryland or eligibility to apply for licensure prior to hire.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical nutrition experience, including at least 1 year in a specialty area.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Nutrition or a related field.
  • Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of food science, biochemistry, physiology, management science, behavioral science, and social science as applied to human nutrition.
