Pediatric Nutrition Specialist

As a Pediatric Nutrition Specialist, you will collaborate with the healthcare team to provide optimal nutrition care to patients at high nutrition risk. You will work independently to identify resources for patients and the division to support the nutrition needs of the program.

You will participate in education, training, and expertise as a professional resource to members of the healthcare team, nutritionists, dietetic interns, and dietetic technicians. A Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics or related field is required, along with registration by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Commission on Dietetics Registration (CDR) and current licensure in the state of Maryland as a Dietitian/Nutritionist.

Clinical experience as a Registered Dietitian at a hospital facility is preferred, especially in Pediatric or GI related areas/populations. Prior completion of a Specialty Fellowship Program or Specialty Certification is also desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide optimal nutrition care to patients at high nutrition risk
  • Work independently to identify resources for patients and the division to support the nutrition needs of the program

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics or related field
