Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our Employee Health team at Baylor Scott & White Health. As an Employee Health Nurse, you will play a critical role in promoting staff health and safety by leading our Employee Health Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement health initiatives to detect, prevent, and treat diseases among staff members.
  • Manage follow-ups after staff exposure to hazards and conduct health screenings and vaccinations.
  • Identify workers with potential health risks or limitations and direct them to suitable resources for further assistance.
  • Act as a support system for staff, responding to queries and concerns related to employee health.
  • Supervise health initiatives for workers, including Flu campaigns and Tuberculosis screening for new hires and volunteers.
  • Conduct yearly fit tests or Powered Air Purifying Respirator training sessions for designated employees.
  • Manage workers' exposure to risks and hazards, arranging follow-up testing for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, HIV, and Tuberculosis.
  • Monitor employee exposure to diseases and provide health education to staff through training and resources.
  • Handle confidential employee health files and be responsible for authorized records release.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited program.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in the relevant field.
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Valid License Pract/Vocational Nurse (LVN).
  • Phlebotomy skills a plus.
